The March 2026 Brand Tracker survey of 1,427 American adults across two counterbalanced question orderings asked about support for daylight saving time.
Conjointly found that the DST debate among Americans is largely settled, and opponents are a clear minority. Only 22% of Americans are against daylight saving time, fewer than 1 in 4. Those in favour (32%) outnumber opponents by nearly 3 to 2, while 46% have simply checked out of the debate entirely.
Opposition is highest among over-55s (28%), who nearly split evenly with supporters, and lowest among under-30s, where just 15% are against it.
